Arcan Partners has raised €30 million at first close for its debut fund targeting early-stage European and US software companies building for the AI era.

    • Arcan Partners was established in 2024 by Daniel Zettergren and Magnus Rantorp, both former Technology & Media investment banking directors with a combined 15+ years advising on software M&A at UBS, BNP Paribas, ABN AMRO, and Société Générale. The firm invests from Seed to Series A with initial tickets of €100K–€1M.

    • The fund targets B2B software companies across enterprise software, fintech, industrial tech, climate, healthcare, and education — with a particular emphasis on companies where AI can drive step-change improvements in product and operations.

“Having spent over a decade advising software companies on growth and M&A, we saw the same pattern: the founders who scale successfully don’t just need capital — they need operational partners who understand their market and can help them navigate the next inflection point. That’s why we built Arcan,” says Daniel Zettergren, Partner at Arcan Partners.

    • Arcan Partners differentiates itself through an embedded AI team that works hands-on with portfolio companies, and the partners co-invest personal capital alongside the fund to ensure alignment.

“The AI era is fundamentally reshaping how software companies build, sell, and scale. We back proven founders and bring dedicated AI expertise directly into their operations — not as a slide deck, but as an embedded capability,” adds Magnus Rantorp, Partner at Arcan Partners.

    • The fund is backed by a group of family offices and high-net-worth individuals with deep ties to the European technology and software ecosystem.

“The €30 million first close gives us a strong foundation. We are in active discussions with additional investors and expect to continue scaling the fund over the coming months,” says Zettergren.

Arcan Partners invests across the US and Europe, with office London.
